Ao3 Spam, It's much more a ploy than any good intent. The Archive of Our Own (AO3) offers a noncommercial and nonprofit central hosting place for fanworks. There have been many different comment bots on AO3 fanworks over the years, but many can be broadly grouped. I've considered replying to test the waters and Comments that are marked as spam are not reviewed by a person. This post shares a brief update on how we're working to combat this issue, what types of spam we've seen, and what you can do if you encounter spam comments on AO3.
